Plan Expiration and Reactivation
The Plan Expiration refers to the date when an Attendance Plan becomes invalid and needs to be updated or replaced. After this expiration date, any recorded attendance data from that plan can no longer be used for future payroll calculations.
Note: To enable access to the Employee Profile sections for Attendance Plans and Transactions, set the Securable 'Process Plan Year Close' to Full Access in the Group Security Maintenance.

Plan Reactivation
When a payroll attendance plan is reactivated after expiration, certain criteria govern the assignment of the default Start Date and the reactivation of suspension periods.-
Default Start Date
The default Start Date when reactivating a plan will be today's date, ensuring that the plan is immediately effective. -
Reactivation Criteria
If the Employee’s Last Hire Date is after the Expiration Date, the default Start Date will be set to the Last Hire Date. If Today's Date is after the Expiration Date, the default Start Date will be set to today. If neither of the above conditions are met, the default Start Date will be set to the Day-After-Expiration Date, which ensures that the plan is reactivated as soon as it is eligible to be. -
Current Expiration Date
Any reactivation of the plan cannot use a date earlier than the current expiration date. This ensures that the plan’s new start date is always valid.

Adding Transactions & Processing Accruals
Transactions and accruals can be processed up to the expiration date, provided the plan has not already expired. This ensures that attendance-related actions are handled within the valid period of the plan. -
Employee Plan List Highlighting
To provide a clearer view of the status of each plan, Employee Plan List rows will be highlighted based on the following conditions:-
Expired Plan
If today's date is greater than the expiration date, the plan will be highlighted to indicate that it has expired. -
Today's Date
On the date of expiration, no highlighting will be applied to avoid confusion. -
Future Date
For plans that have expired for a future date, no highlighting will be used to prevent incorrect status displays.
Note: This color-coding ensures that users can quickly identify which plans are expired, reactivated, or still active based on the current date.
-
Note: A tooltip will display contextual information to guide users on the proper Start Date based on the above reactivation criteria.
